NON
- ALIGNED STUDENTS & YOUTH ORGANIZATION (NASYO) Dear
Friends, The
General Secretariat of the Non -Aligned Students And Youth Organization
(NASYO) presents its greetings, and we are pleased to convey our best,
and sincerest wishes on the New Year, 2003. Despite
Iraq’s adherence to the Security Council resolution, and the return of
the inspectors to carry out their task, and with genuine, responsible
cooperation by Iraq, as attested to by the testimonies of the UN
Secretary General and numerous states and bodies, the U.S.
administration is still insisting on massing more and more of its naval,
aerial, and land destructive war machine in preparation for launching a
heinous aggression on the peaceful people of Iraq, and threatening to
wage this war even without recourse to the Security Council. Such
developments confirm without any doubt that the American drive to impose
the U.S. hegemony on the world is still on, and at an escalating pace,
to plunder peoples wealth, and confiscate peoples rights to sovereignty,
freedom and independence, as well as laying its absolute control over
the region’s oil to coerce the world into submission to its evil will.
In
such a situation, which makes it imperative for all of us to confront
aggression, NASYO General Secretariat has decided to organize an
international conference under the slogan “NO TO AGGRESSION & WAR
ON IRAQ” to be held in Baghdad on 19th -21st February, 2003. The
conference will also include other activities such as Candles Marches, a
Run-for-Peace, organizing a Worldwide Campaign Rejecting Aggression,
field trips to historic cities, and sites…etc. NASYO will bear all the
expenses related to accommodation, subsistence, and local transport. Dear
Friends, In
appreciation of your role of struggle, humanitarian concern, and
opposition to aggression and war and with the aim of enhancing peace and
security, we extend an invitation to your respectable organization to
take part in this event with a delegation of 20 – 30 persons. We
are hopeful to receive your positive reply on or before 31st January
2003. Dr.
